Boys Soccer - Record 6-3, we won both games last week, 2-0 against Southeast and 5-0 against Venice.
Girls Basketball -
The girls basketball team went 1-1 last week with a 54-49 loss to Lakewood Ranch on Thursday and 49-45 win over Bradenton Christian on Saturday.
In the loss to Lakewood Ranch, Monique Schwalbach led the team with 19 points and 7 steals. Jasmine Hernandez had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Cydnee Brooks added 9 points and 6 rebounds.
In the win against Bradenton Christian, Monique led the team with 18 points and 8 assists. Emily Dalton had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Jasmine Hernandez added 12 points and 6 rebounds.
The team plays IMG at home on Monday at 6pm, Brooks DeBartolo at home on Wednesday at 7, and travels to Ocala for a three game tournament on Friday and Saturday.
Wrestling -
Charlotte JV tourney- we had 13 Wrestlers go and get their first experience at a real bracketed tourney. We had 8 Placer winners Collin Keesler Runner up .... Jayden Russel and Jeshua Serrano 3rd... Collin Ickes 5th and Sebastian Studebaker 6th, Jacob Fuentes 6th Julius Berrios5th and Lucas Vacchelli 5th. In comparison to last year we sent 11 and had 2 place winners! Big things ahead for our Pirates!
Varsity we had Mattew Ireland lose a 1 pt decision... then battle back for 5th, Grady Murphy lost two 1 pt decisions to other state place winners to take 4th and we had two Finalist Gage Wiggins Tech Falled His Semi Finals opponent who was a returning State place winner 17-2... but fell in the Finals to a Nationally Ranked Sr 2X State Champ. Jessey Colas continued His dominance defeating a Returning State Runner Up in the Finals to claim the Pirates First Archer Title since 2017 when Chance won it.

Girls Weightlifting - Record 6-0, Undefeated regular season. Multiple lifters recorded Personal Records. 9 Girls traveled to River Ridge HS for a very competitive competition-all received top 10 finishes. Jada Phillips took 2nd overall and just missed winning by 1 point.
