Catch Up on Last Week's Games

Girls Volleyball -

Won the district title last Thursday 3-0 vs Port Charlotte. We are back-to-back district Champions!! Congrats girls and keep it going. We are hosting a regional quarterfinal game at home 7pm vs Naples this Wednesday, Oct 26th.


Girls golf -

2 freshman girls advancing to regional play Taryn Nguyen, our #1, came in 1st by shooting the best (lowest) score of the tournament. She also came in 1st in the Individual Category. Alexa Dzuibek, our #2, came in 2nd in the Individual Category. The Regional tournament is scheduled to take place on Monday Oct 31st in the St. Pete area.


Swimming -

At Swim Districts in Tampa Saturday-our women’s 200 Medley And the 400 free relays for winning district championships! Both relays made up of the same swimmers, Sydney Koshinski, Maya Szymsnski, Gaby Ramierez -Barerro and Nora Benninghoff ; while the boys finished in fourth place and tied for 3rd in their relays, consisting of swimmers, Bobby Benninghoff, Elias Kotra, Frederick Jacobsen and Kody Lawton. Maya Szymsnski earned first in the 100 backstroke while Sidney Koshinski took first in the 50 free. Nora Benninghoff had a strong finish of second place in 100 butterfly and Gabby Ramierez took 3rd place in both 100 breast stroke and 100 backstroke , Total points for Braden River 382 with Manatee 375 and finally out of 9 teams competing The Pirate Nation landed in 4th place overall

On to Regionals for The Pirate 🏴‍☠️ boys and girls swim team next Saturday in Clearwater !!


JV football -

Finished their season with a 19-0 win over North port on Thursday.


Varsity football -

Lost last Friday night vs Sarasota in a Non-district game. We honored our seniors that night for all their hard work throughout the years-congratulations to all the seniors on the football, cheerleading, dance, trainers & band teams. Varsity football plays away at Southeast (district game) this Friday, 7 pm.


Boys and Girls Cross Country -

Finished their season at the district meet last week. They had a young team and look forward to next year.


Boys golf districts are Wednesday, October 26th.


We raised $500 for Port Charlotte Athletics and gave them the check last Thursday at the volleyball championship game. They were very appreciative of us thinking of them in their time of need. He said the money will go toward equipment that was lost in the hurricane.
