Swimming -
The Pirates took 1st place in both the men’s and women’s medley relays. For the women, it was Szymsnski, Benninghoff, Kosinski and Nadar. For the men it was Jacobsen, Benninghoff, Kotra and Lawton. The overall meet was a thriller with best times, many first places for the Pirates with nail biting finishes!!
Coach Sochin said, “One of the most thrilling and competitive relay in his 30 years of coaching!!" Way to go Pirates, 1 meet left next Wednesday at John Marble pool.
Volleyball-
We lost a tough 5 setter to a ranked Charlotte team on the road. Girls went down 2-0 but clawed back to toe it at 2 sets each before losing in set 5. Placed 2nd in our tournament going 3-1 overall. Schedule changed due to hurricane. Home matches vs Manatee and LEHS rescheduled for 10/5 & 10/10.
Varsity Football -
Trayvon P. and Roy B. rushed for 150 yards a piece. Cody Kawcak had 3 touchdown catches and sophomore QB Lucas Despot threw for 3 TDS. Our offensive line was phenomenal.
JV football -
The game is cancelled for this week. Next game is scheduled for Wednesday 10/5 at Bayshore. Kick-off is at 6pm.
Boys golf-
We beat Manatee - Aaron s. Shot low score with a 40!
Cross country -
No varsity meet, JV team ran at Palmetto.
