The Hurricane canceled all events Sept 26-30th and pushed all events to restart this past Friday October 7th after being off a full week or so. We had to reschedule many events. The Football, Port Charlotte game, will be rescheduled due to it being a district game, no specific date has been decided on yet. Volleyball rescheduled senior night for October 10th & a home game vs Lakewood Ranch for this Wednesday on 10/12.
Below are some highlights for events that took place on Friday or Saturday. All other teams did not play last week.
Homecoming week!
Boys Golf-
Congratulations to Aaron S. for finishing 4th with his round of 76 in the Manatee County Championships. Our team had an injury so could not finish for a team score. Districts will be October 26th at river Wilderness GC.
Girls Golf-
All matches were cancelled the past 2 weeks. They play today at Sara Bay in the Donald Ross Tournament. Districts are October 24th at River Wilderness GC.
Varsity Football-
Traveled to Bishop Moore in Orlando-had a tough night losing a non-district game. We play Parrish (district game) this Friday at home which is homecoming weekend. We are currently 3-2 and 11th in class 3S.
Swim-
We had a great showing at county meet on Friday- Girls relay finished first, boys took 3rd. They honored all the seniors at this event held at GT Bray. Districts are on October 22nd in Clearwater/Tampa area.
