Football-
Varsity team won their 1st regular season game in overtime vs county rival Palmetto-27-20. Exciting game with a great finish as Nick Trier hit Craivontae Koonce for a Touchdown pass, then our defense made a tremendous stance to finish the game for the win! This Friday's game is away at Lakewood Ranch 7 pm start. THANK YOU to our AMAZING student body for rally the crowd!
Cross country-
Boys took 5th place and girls teams came in 12th.
Den Boggende and Medina led the boys & Hennessy led our girls team.
Volleyball -
We beat county rival Lakewood Ranch in 4 sets in a packed filled out court at LRHS. We play Riverview at home Tuesday and state ranked Venice away Thursday.
Golf -
Boys golf was unfortunately rained out this week.
Girls golf has 4 golfers working very hard. They started with only 3 so had to forfeit early matches. The top 2 golfers are playing very solid golf.
Swimming -
The meet was canceled at 6:05 pm after weather prevented us from starting the meet. The previous week’s meet we finally got in the water after nearly a 2 hour delay, several first and second place finishes with a strong showing from the girls particularly in the 200 free and 200 medley.
