Girls golf -
State championship, Taryn Nguyen, tied for 39th out of 96. Shot a 79 first day & 90 on 2nd day. We are proud of her performance - well done Taryn!!
Girls weightlifting -
Braden River Vs Saint Stephen’s. Braden River won the Olympic & Traditional Event 64-26. Braden River lifters winning 9 out of 10 weight classes over their opponent.
Wrestling -
Preseason Tourney. We had 22 Wrestlers getting their first action of the Season. Many stepping onto the Mat vs competition for the first time. The Team was led by team Captain's Jessey Colas and Grady Murphy. New to the Pirates Gage Wiggins was dominant wrestling up at 170. First time Pirates to step on the mat to secure wins, Scott Cook, Gage Rojas, Sebastian Studabaker, Collin Keesler, Pierce Hochstetler and Jesika Dolan stood out with many others securing their first ever victory on the may as well.
Girls soccer -
Pirates won a tough fought game vs George Jenkins 1-0, our record is 2-1 now.
Braden River Vs Palmetto - Braden River earns their first victory over the current defending county champions, Palmetto High School. Captains Lucy Milner, Jada Phillips and Alisson Gonzalez leading the way for an Olympic event win 57-31 & Traditional event win 61-28.
Braden River won 6 out of 10 weight classes.
Student Jada Phillips posted a 290 total which ranks her top 5 in FHSAA 139lbs class.
